Summer in Southwest Florida is right around the corner. Most of us have noticed the spike in the weather lately. There's a lot of things to do here in SWFL during the summer, after all, we are on the coast!
Before we dive in, here's a few tips to prep your home:
-Make sure your A/C is tuned right and ready to work extra hard this summer.
-Have all stucco cracks sealed and all caulking at windows and doors inspected and repaired as necessary
-Remove debris from roof so rain will run off quickly
-Remember hurricane season is around the corner, so cleaning gutters and run offs is good with these unexpected heavy rains
What To do in SWFL during Summer?
You can take advantage of Paddle Boarding and Kayaking here in SWFL. These activities not only will get you to experience Floridas beautiful scenery, but you can also enjoy the weather and cool off in the water when you're done. Don't like the Beach? We have two awesome Water Parks for individuals and families, Sun-n-Fun Lagoon in Naples or even Sun Splash in Cape Coral.
Bike Riding is also a fun activity to do in the summer. We have plenty of rental services around in Naples, Bonita, Fort Myers and Cape Coral, to cruise along side of the coast and experience the wildlife along the boardwalks.
Nature Walks are also great! Stroll through the fertile wetlands of Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve on a mile-long dry boardwalk or North Collier Regional Park.
You can also visit the Naples Zoo, they have a new limited exhibit with two Clouded Leopard Kittens until August 15th.
