Naples and Marco Island Real Estate Markets Show Strong 2015 Sales
As the end of 2015 approaches we reflect on this past year which was a very busy and successful year for many homebuilders and developers here in Southwest Florida. The Naples and Marco Island market saw huge growth and record setting closings. We see no reason why this trend will not continue into 2016 and beyond. It is a great time to build a new home in our market. New home starts are higher than they have been in years, partly due to the low existing inventory, but also due to the rise in consumer confidence and the need. Naples and Marco Island, Florida are popular destinations for families relcoating to a more tropical environment.
The average sale price from 2014 to 2015 increased 11%, from $472,000 - $522,000. A look back we find that in 2009, for instance the average sale price was $341,000. That is quite a jump in six years, proving that Southwest Florida real estate can be a significant investment. There were 13,128 closed listings, which is the highest since 2001.
