New home starts are higher than they have been in years, partly due to the low existing inventory, but also due to the rise in consumer confidence and the need. Naples and Marco Island, Florida are popular destinations for families relcoating to a more tropical environment.
The average sale price from 2014 to 2015 increased 11%, from $472,000 - $522,000. A look back we find that in 2009, for instance the average sale price was $341,000. That is quite a jump in six years, proving that Southwest Florida real estate can be a significant investment. There were 13,128 closed listings, which is the highest since 2001.
